Step One: Lining
The first snap is a lining on the jaws of a vice. The master welded two metal plates with the letter G. He cleaned the seams. Then cut them into several parts. I drilled the mounting holes and cut the thread. Holes are also drilled in the vice lips.
Step Two: Using Pads
To bend metal, you need to fix the pads on the jaws of a vice. Depending on the intended result, the pads are arranged in a certain way.
Then you need to insert the workpiece between the jaws and bend.

Step Three: device for fittings are flexible
Another fixture is designed for flexible fittings. One of the pads is made so that a plate protrudes from the side of the vise. A 10 mm piece of reinforcement is welded to the plate.
In principle, it is already possible to use the device for its intended purpose.
To facilitate the bending process, the master makes a lever. It is a profile pipe with a cut shelf. Slots-hooks are made on the edge of the lever. A thrust bolt and, further, bearings are installed behind the hooks.
This is what the finished device looks like.
And so it can be used to bend reinforcement.
