Good day to all. Today, the author of YouTube channel "Rust is Gold" will share with us how he made an exclusive suitcase from a regular old canister.
Materials:
Old metal canister, volume 20 liters.
Handle with wheels. From the old travel backpack.
Silicone hose.
Rubber hose.
Metal clasps.
Screws
Self Locking Nuts
Washers
Aluminum sheet
Hinges are window.
Stopper.
Key ring.
Instruments:
Piranha brush on drill
Cutting wheel for metal
Angle grinder
Electric drill
Drill
Screwdriver
Stationery knife
Sandpaper (different grit)
Spray paint (black and red)
Liquid Nails
Simple pencil
Pliers
Spanners
Drill.
First of all, the author laundered an old canister.
Then he cut it along the seam into two parts.
The author also deleted this tube, as unnecessary.
After he worked with a metal brush.
Then with sandpaper.
After he removed the pen from the old backpack.
Fitted it to the dimensions of the future suitcase.
Then making a couple of holes.
Screwed the wheels to the handle.
Further, the author painted both halves of the canister. Black inside.
And red outside.
Then cut the silicone hose.
Put glue on him.
And set the hose on the edges of the canister.
Leaving room for loops.
The same thing, the author did with a rubber hose. Cut it.
Put glue.
And installed it on top of the silicone hose.
Fitting.
Further, I marked the places of future holes for fixing loops.
After the aluminum sheet, he made the substrate under the loop.
Two pieces for each loop.
Then, on one of the blanks, in the marked places, the author made holes.
And set loops with substrates.
And fixed them with screws with washers and nuts.
It turned out something like this.
Before attaching the hinges to the second part, the author also installed substrates between the hinge and the part.
Verification
After the master, having decided on the place for fastening the fasteners.
Cut off the outer part of the seal.
Then he made the substrate, and marked the place for the holes.
Made holes.
Fitting.
And the installation of fasteners.
Verification
Then the author removed the excess parts of the screws.
Then he proceeded to install the handle. Marked places for mounting.
Made holes.
And installing the handle, secured it with screws with washers and nuts.
Also, installed and secured the legs.
In order to prevent the lid from opening, the author made a through hole and installed a stopper with a key ring.
Such a suitcase turned out today, from our hero, from a regular old canister.
I want to thank the author for the good homemade.
And that’s all for me. Thank you all and see you soon!
