What is necessary:
- sawn blank from plywood for watch case, such are sold in stores at
needlework,
- set of clockwork with hands, sold there
- a set of numbers sold in the same place
- a napkin for decoupage, the necessary subjects,
- PVA glue,
- acrylic paints, different colors,
- acrylic primer,
- medical napkins (bandage),
- brushes.
1 step.
We take the blank of the base of the watch (dial) and make a hole for the clockwork. Grounding the dial. After drying, paint in white. After drying, do aging, swab and gray paint around the edges.
2 step.
Cut the napkin along the intended contour. The napkin consists of several layers of paper, but we are only interested in the top layer with the printed pattern. A very responsible step. The task is to separate the top layer.
Soak the cut napkin in warm water in a suitable bowl. And slowly gently, we separate the upper layer and remove the lower substrate. The dial is coated with diluted water with PVA glue. And, gently we put on the dial a napkin layer removed from the picture. Wetting it with swabs from medical napkins. We are waiting for everything to dry.
3 step.
Along the edge of the glued pattern (napkin) there are places where the color of the dial and the pattern do not match. They must be carefully tinted with appropriate colors with brushes or using tampons, so that this line disappears. We mark and glue the pre-painted numbers.
4. step.
Set the clockwork.
All watches are ready. We hang them in their place.
