Friends, hello everyone and good day. I decided to make myself a small compressor in garage for small jobs such as blowing dust away from the tool or inflating the wheels on car, the main idea in the matter of building a compressor for the garage was to make a silent compressor, I basically do not need large power from the compressor. Well, closer to the point. I exchanged my scrap metal from the garage to the receiver from some automobile equipment for about 15 liters at the metal reception, the compressor from the refrigerator and some spare parts from the purchased compressor have been lying in the garage for a long time, I decided to put it together)
I suggest that in addition to a small photo report, you can also watch the video:
Materials and tools:
- compressor
- receiver
- pneumatic relay with ramp for compressor
- check valve
- fuel filter
- wire with plug
- a pair of fittings
- welding;
- drill
- grinder
- spray paint 2pcs.
Here are the elements I assembled for the manufacture of a compressor
Having marked the places for connecting the compressor to the receiver, I welded a pair of fittings for the ramp and non-return valve, then drilled holes in a 12 mm diameter cylinder.
I used the perforated corner that was lying in the far corners of the garage as legs for the receiver and made the platform on the receiver from the same corner to mount the compressor motor itself.
after welding and fitting all the compressor elements, we proceed to painting, it took 2 spray cans of paint for a good coat.
when the paint has dried, we proceed to the assembly of all the components and elements of the compressor and we will try to launch this device.
It works perfectly and is very quiet, a little louder than the refrigerator in the kitchen. the receiver from zero to 8 ATM pumps up in 8 minutes with a penny. Very happy and pleased with my homemade, which is always useful in everyday garage.
