Manufacturing process.
The first step is to make a sleeve. The author decided to use the shot sleeve for this. But any tube, aluminum or steel, will do. He sawed off the capsule from the sleeve.
Then he drilled the excess material with a step drill, getting a short sleeve.
Then I drilled the neck of the bottle so that the bolt entered almost tightly, leaving room for the sleeve.
Cut off the unnecessary lid, and pressed the sleeve.
On the inside, I fixed the sleeve with hot-melt adhesive.
It remains to collect all these elements together.
That's all, the firing pin is ready.
Cut off a bottle with a small margin, and screwed the firing pin into place.
It is convenient to use a nut as an anvil. Now it’s enough to pull back the firing pin and release it. And the nut was defeated, but the shell did not fly apart.
