In this article, the author of the YouTube channel "Andrey Vinnichuk" will tell you how he made a machine for twisting wire.
Materials
- Profile pipe 20X20 and 25X25 mm
- Steel strip 10 mm thick
- Bolts, nuts M6 and M8
- Steel wire.
Instruments, used by the author.
-
- Drill, or Screwdriver
-
- Pliers.
Manufacturing process.
First of all, the author prepared blanks from a profile pipe. The pipe 25X25 mm fits very well in size to the pipe 20X20 mm.
He welds the first workpiece to the end of the pipe. It is needed to strengthen the design.
Drills a hole in a steel strip.
Next, he drills a hole on the guide for the M8 bolt.
Then screw the nut onto the bolt and weld it to the guide. Thus a movable part is formed.
Now attaches the guide to the bottom of the table.
Further, a steel strip is welded to the moving part.
Andrei can only make a wire holder, which would be convenient to clamp in a cartridge. It simply welds three nuts to the bolt, and one nut to the cap.
Fixes the holder in the drill chuck.
That's all, the machine is ready. Andrei runs the steel wire and tightens it with pliers. Now it’s enough to start the drill for a few seconds, and the lay is ready!
Here is a little stitch turned out by the master.
With it, you can make various pens, and very quickly twist the wire.
Thanks to Andrey for a simple but useful machine for a blacksmith workshop!
All good mood, good luck, and interesting ideas!
