Hello! Today I decided to make converters of stun guns and not only shockers. For a shocker or the same lighter you need a high voltage transformer. It gives a high battery voltage of 3.7 volts. The transformer is made on a plastic card frame inserted into a ferrite core.
The primary winding usually contains 8-10 turns with a tap from the middle, that is, I fold the wire in two later than the middle is cut. It is advisable to use the wire in good affectionate insulation, with a diameter of 0.2-0.8 mm. You also need to put the insulation in 2 layers with ordinary transparent tape or special kapton.
The secondary winding is high-voltage, it contains 400-1000 turns of wire with a diameter of 0.05 - 0.1 mm. If the shocker works through a multiplier of diodes and capacitors, then more turns are needed. When winding a high-voltage winding, it is necessary to lay layers of thin transparent tape through each layer. After winding the coil, insert it into the ferrite core.
When mounting the stun converter circuit, it is necessary to observe the polarity of the phases of the transformer windings, the so-called beginning and end of the windings.
