The process of making a table:
Step one. Manufacturing countertops and bottom
We need to make two circles of wood, one will be a countertop, and the other will serve as a shelf, installed in the lower part.
To begin with, we need to assemble wood boards, for this we will prepare boards. Of course, the boards should be of the same thickness, otherwise the boards will then have to be leveled and ground for a very long time.
The boards are interconnected using dowels and wood glue. To drill holes for dowels, a manual milling cutter is used. If you can’t immediately assemble the plate, you can assemble it in sections.
When the wood boards are ready, you can cut circles out of them. For cutting, the author used a manual milling cutter, and in order to cut a perfect circle, he had to make a special plywood nozzle for the milling cutter. As a result, the author worked as a milling cutter as a compass. After cutting, align the circles with a plane and carefully grind to a smooth state. Also, it will not be superfluous to remove the lump with a milling cutter.
Step Two Feet, rods and assembly
We proceed to the manufacture of legs for the table, here we will need bars. If there is no finished material, we cut the bars on a circular machine from the boards. The legs will be connected to the countertop and base using furniture dowels and wood glue. It is important to drill holes in clearly defined places.
Also, as a decor, we need brass rods, cut them to the desired length and drill blind holes for them below and above.When everything is ready, the table can be assembled. Well we tighten everything with clamps and let the glue dry completely.
