Let's first understand what Pin Art is. Pin Art or Pinscreen is a toy patented in 1987 by Ward Fleming. It consists of a flat work surface with many holes. Pins are inserted into the holes, which, with little effort, can be mixed. By clicking on the pins on one side, you get a three-dimensional display of the object on the other side.
This giant pin-art master made for his children to play with him. It also serves as a shelf for toys.
So, for its manufacture, the master used the following
Tools and materials:
-Plywood;
- Electric jigsaw;
-Electric drill;
-Rule;
-Pencil;
-Pins;
-Bandsaw machine;
- Joiner's glue;
- Aerosol can with white and red paint;
-Pneumatic hammer;
-Circular Saw;
Step One: Worktop
The master made the working surface of plywood. Cut off the plywood of the right size. Outlined it. Drilled 576 holes. Then he polished the plywood and painted it white.
Step two: dowels
Dowels have a diameter of holes in the work surface. On the one hand, the master glues and nails a hat to the end of the dowel, made by sawing a larger dowel. Paints dowels with red paint.
Step Three: Feet
The master made the legs of the board. I painted them with orange paint.
Pin Art is ready.
