DIY drill stand organizer

Hello dear readers andthe inhabitants of our site!
Surely, those who work in the workshop have their own, original organizers for various tools.
In this article, the author of the bearded MASTER YouTube channel will tell you how he made a very good hanging organizer for drills, mills and other small tools from scraps of plastic window sills.

This homemade product is very simple to manufacture, and material for it is abundant on any construction site, and finding it will not be difficult. You can also contact the installers of windows, they simply throw away such trimmings.

Materials
- sheet plywood
- Trimming plastic window sills
- Wood screws
- Aerosol varnish
- Sandpaper.

Instruments, used by the author.
—
—
—
- Canvas for wood
- Square, pencil, carpentry knife.

Manufacturing process.
So, for starters, from the surface of the window sill trim, you must remove the protective film.

Then, four sizes of 5, 12, 21, 33 cm are measured from the edge of the workpiece. Now, transverse marking lines are drawn.

Next, the blade is installed in an electric jigsaw on soft wood, and the workpiece is sawn according to marking. The blanks are each 20 mm wider than the previous one.

The sharp edges of the parts are cleaned with a carpentry knife. The resulting elements are folded in this way, alternating the side.

Now you need to make a box with holders for the holders. The author decided to make it from plywood. The back wall of the box should be 5 cm wider than the front. And the height of all sides is 50 mm.

Fixing the sides to the bottom with clamps, drills pilot holes, and connects the parts with self-tapping screws. Also connected to each other and the sides at the corners.

After assembling the box, you need to polish all its faces with sandpaper.

And then you can cover the finished box with spray paint or varnish.

For this, it was necessary to make the back wall wider than the front. So it will be easier to fix it on the wall. The author drilled a hole in the ears one at a time, and screwed it directly onto the wall with a self-tapping screw, he had it from drywall.

So, the box is suspended, you can load the holders.

And now it's time to sort the drills by size and diameter. On vertical plastic surfaces it will be very convenient to sign the diameters of the drills, and their purpose. Also in this organizer you can store screwdrivers, files, and other tools.
By the way, if all the details from the windowsill are cut of the same height - they can be installed in the drawer, then the drills will not dust.

Thanks to the author for the simple but useful idea of the workshop organizer!
All good mood, good luck, and interesting ideas!

The idea is super, sawing about add-ons at 45 degrees is generally excellent.

a small neodymium magnet on a hat of a long nail even with tape to tape.

Yes, and it is not necessary to wind it. ;)
Only grind the hat so that the magnet holds tight.

Soooo, and what can be done from 5-chamber profile scraps? or polycarbonate? scratch

I recommend doing it at an angle of 45 degrees. - Then everything will be in sight! Is that the rear end trim the identity at 45. And do not need any box. Just to the wall all the scraps under 45 and that's it!
And what to do? a small neodymium magnet on a hat of a long nail even with tape to tape.
And I was also interested ... Until now, I came across such neat organizers for 10 drills ... Which are for "playing around", because I, for example, have winning drills - in a bucket))) steel - in the old bottom drawer from the refrigerator. Separately, I hold a box of cobalt. And there is wood. And feather and ordinary, long ...
I have scraps of window sills ... You can dial half a wall))) But I don’t ever put each drill in my calibrated cell, I never will, due to my nature))) It’s easier for me to pile it up.))) And tat - and not gloomy, and all before our eyes! You will immediately choose what you need.
Only also come up with a magnetic pick-up near in case if I’ll throw a short one into a deep cell in the park!))))
