Step One: Cutting
First, the master dismissed the workpiece. Then, on the blank, the master drew the shape of a pepper shaker. Trimmed the edges with a band saw.
I cut the inside of the milling cutter.
Step Two: Grinding
I polished the pepper shaker inside and out.
Step Three: Inscription
Inside the bowl, the master wanted to make an inscription. The inscription will be cut on the CNC machine. After cutting, the inscription will be filled with a special composition, so you need to set the correct parameters.
The wizard began by inserting a photograph into a CAD program and scaling the photograph to the desired size and saved in dxf format.
He then imported dxf into Fusion 360 and, using the sketch / text command, inserted each letter one by one. Then I set up the individual letter size and position. Set the line size and depth of cut. Saved the settings.
Step Four: Cut the Lettering
Then the pepperbox needs to be fixed on a piece of chipboard. The master did this with hot glue. Now you can place the blank on the table and cut out the inscription.
Step Five: Filler
The master filled the cut-out letters with a special powder and secured it with superglue on top. After hardening the glue, he ground the pepper shaker and covered it with tung oil.
The pepper shaker is ready. It remains to put inside the chili pepper and wish the master a pleasant appetite.
