Homemade manufacturing process:
Step one. Assembly of the main part of the frame
The most important thing in the manufacture of such a bicycle is that the front and rear wheels are clearly opposite each other, on the same line. Otherwise, the bike may become poorly controlled. The author carried out careful calculations and measurements, and only then welded the main frame.
As a basis for the frame, you need a profile pipe of large diameter, and it is better to choose a wall thicker so that the frame can withstand a large load. To this pipe you need to weld the back of the bike, cutting off the excess. The steering wheel is moved forward of the frame, and control is carried out through traction, which the author made of the pipe. For the steering shaft, we weld a piece of a round pipe to the base. We reinforce all corners with pieces of a profile pipe. All the welds from the author turned out to be very high quality and strong, the author used TIG welding.
Step Two Trunk frame
We weld the trunk frame, the design can be seen in the drawing. The trunk frame strengthens the main frame, we use profile pipes as the material.
Step Three Steering
The steering here is also going to be quite complicated, accuracy and reliability are important, although the general design of the steering looks simple. A lever is placed on the steering shaft to which the steering link is connected. The author made steering draft from a round pipe.
The connection of the thrust to the lever of the steering shaft must pass through an adjustable node that will allow you to center the steering wheel. Of course, there should be no backlash in the steering, it will be difficult and dangerous to control such a bicycle.
Step Four Running board and finishing touches
Our car turned out to be overall and it is heavier than a normal bicycle, so we definitely make a reliable bandwagon for vehicles. The author has welded a step from profile pipes, we attach it to the frame articulated. So that the footboard itself develops and clings to the frame, we must install springs of suitable stiffness.
Step Five Painting and testing
We paint the bicycle frame and the car can be assembled. The frame of the bike turned out to be strong, it easily withstands the weight of the author.
