Manufacturing process.
So, the main material for the cups will be scraps of pine timber. The master processes these pieces of wood on a circular saw, cutting out smooth bars, and hells the damaged surfaces.
It turned out whetstones 50X50 mm, then the author cuts a dozen blanks for glasses of the same height.
The workpiece is fixed on the table of the drilling machine, and a blind hole is drilled in it with a Forstner drill to the maximum possible depth.
The resulting cups are ground by a grinder with a disk nozzle, and then by hand with sandpaper.
From sheet plywood, the author cuts the details for the stand - one strip of 80 mm wide, and two strips of 15 mm each. Then the parts are cut to the desired length.
Further, the sides are glued to the base
For reliable bonding, the stand is clamped with clamps.
While the glue dries, the master proceeds to stain the glasses to match the color of the pencils. He uses ordinary watercolor paints.
This paint dries quickly enough, and after a few hours you can cover the surface with linseed oil, or aerosol varnish.
That's all, the stand with the glasses for colored pencils is ready! If desired, it can be fixed to the wall using brackets, or by slightly changing the design of the pallet itself.
I thank the author for the simple idea of a beautiful and functional pencil stand!
