We hasten to share an interesting idea for making an MP3 player using well-known old audio cassettes.
We recommend starting with watching the author’s video
So we need:
- audio cassette;
- MP3 player;
- wires;
- 5 clock buttons;
- soldering iron;
- glue gun.
The first step is to disassemble the MP3 player and remove the circuit from it.
Solder out the headphone input and switch.
Now we disassemble the cartridge in which you want to place the player circuit. We remove the film.
On the cassette body, cut a hole for the player's connectors.
We extend the buttons, the 3.5 mm headphone jack and the switch using wires and glue the player circuit in the cassette.
The author of the idea brought a switch and a headphone input to the side of the cassette. If you wish, you can do the same. All parts can be glued with a glue gun.
Solder the buttons and finally assemble the cassette.
It is important to stick all the parts on one half of the cassette body, so that in case of possible breakdowns, it is easy to disassemble the player and repair it.
