Electronic regulator for a domestic oven (for firing paint, polymer clay and not only)

I needed a furnace for annealing polymer paint, a temperature of 150 ° C (140-160), I decided to mix it from the oven. The oven is an ordinary household, inexpensive, bought a new one, so that nothing would pour. There are two TENA 750 W each.

The temperature regulator also took an inexpensive, locally produced TsTR-2T. The controller is able to regulate the temperature up to 1000 ° C, but in reality it all depends on the selected thermocouple.

Order a thermocouple You can from China, they buy them there.
Also on ali there are temperature regulators, can order to your taste. Consider the power consumption of the connected device!

The maximum measured temperature depends on the wire diameter of the thermocouple used. For the thermocouple included in the kit, the maximum long-term temperature is + 250 ° C, and the short-term measured temperature is + 300 ° C.

Reading accuracy
On the measuring range -40 ° С - + 400 ° С Accuracy ± 1% ± 3 ° С
On the measuring range -99 ° С - + 999 ° С Accuracy ± 2% ± 15 ° С

How to connect
I did not want to disassemble the new oven, I connected a socket to the thermostat, and you can stick the oven into it and whatever you want. The sensor was brought in and tied to a metal grid with a wire.

How does it work? Test

VIDEO WORKS

1. We set the oven regulator to the maximum temperature so as not to interfere.

2. On the digital controller, set the upper and lower threshold. Between these values, my regulator cannot set a threshold of less than 5 degrees. That is, if the lower threshold is 30 ° C, then the upper one can be no lower than 35 ° C. This is done so that the relay does not fail quickly.

3. Turn on the oven with a timer, we need to warm it up first, bring it to the desired temperature. And when the stove warms up, you can set the timer as needed so that the stove turns itself off. The timer in my oven is mechanical, in the last oven he did not live very long :(

First I turned on two spirals, a problem appeared in thermal inertia. The temperature flew beyond the upper threshold after turning off the degree by 3-4.
Then he turned on only the lower heating element, everything began to work better, the temperature does not fly beyond the upper threshold further than 1-2 degrees, and everything is about the same on the lower one.

In general, everything works great for my needs. You can also release steel in such an oven after hardening.
Of course, you can bake pies too, but you need to hide the thermocouple well so that your wife does not hurt!

I checked the temperature with standard controls, at 190 on the handle, it was really 150 ° C in the oven. The scatter in maintaining the temperature with a regular controller is also huge, around 20 ° C. If you have questions, ask.

Damn, I’ll really try the next time in your way! )))
To bake, not in cylinders, of course, a colleague, but billets with an oven. yes

Yes, maybe I’ll build it in the future ... Yesterday I tested it until night, it works well.
Good stuff. Only I would have built in the regulator in the case, since all the same for the technical purposes the oven is bought.
By the way, it is useful to bake regular acrylic enamel in cylinders, after which it becomes much stronger.
