Step One: Template
First, the master makes a template out of paper. He puts his foot on a piece of paper and outlines a pen. Between the thumb and forefinger makes an incision.
Step Two: Foundation
At first, the master made the base of plywood, but it creaks when moving. Then he cut out the base from 2 mm plastic. ABC plastic is quite durable and flexible and is great for foundation. After trimming, the master processes the end face, first on the grinding machine, and then with a file. Makes holes for the strap.
Step Three: Foam and Leatherette
Further, the master cuts foam, the size of the base, and leatherette, with an allowance.
Applies glue and sticks foam.
Makes a cut.
Adhesive to leatherette. Trims excess material.
Makes an incision in leatherette.
Step Four: Belts
Belts should be about 15 mm wide and wrap around the foot and lower leg. The master measures the length of the belt using a centimeter. Cuts two strips of leatherette. Glues them into 15 mm strips. Glues two belts, and cuts to a length of 1.5 meters.
Step Five: Outsole
Now the hardest part. You need to stretch the belts and glue the sole, but the whole problem is that the belts should stretch freely between the sole and the base.
The wizard holds out the straps as they should be located and cuts out the patterns.
Glues the strap on the front. Sticks foam.
According to the patterns, he cuts the foam and sticks it on the base according to the scheme. Now the belts will be located, as if inside between the glued parts. Apply glue to the top of the foam parts. Glues the sole. Now the belts move freely between the sole and the base.
Step Six: Painting
It cleans the end part of the sole. Apply black paint.When the paint has dried a little, the master again lightly processes the grinding nozzle. It also applies black paint to leatherette and erases it. Such an operation will give an aged look to the shoes.
Seventh step: Velcro
Now it remains to stick the edge of the straps with Velcro, put sandals on your feet and fix with straps.
