Hello dear friends the inhabitants of our site! Many of you have car, which is now difficult to do without. He is our most needed assistant, but sometimes he needs to be serviced and repaired. I bought myself a 2-ton hydraulic jack, small, comfortable, but too unstable. I solved this problem by making two small fixtures for jack stability. The base area of the jack is small, only 100 * 100 mm, and the upper diameter of the stem shaft is -20 mm. I decided to increase the size of these bases.
To do this, we need the following materials and tools.
Materials: two beams from a dry board with a size of 150 * 200 * 50 mm, self-tapping screws with a length of 85 mm -5 pcs, roofing lengths of 45 -65 mm -4 pcs, steel strips, 60 * 20 * 3 mm in size - 2 pcs. For the second fixture - a metal cup from the old speaker, size 35 mm - inner diameter, 41 mm - outer, its height 25 mm, wall thickness -3 mm. A strip of metal with a width of 50 mm and a thickness of 5 mm, a length of 100 mm - 1 pc, a small piece of metal pipe with an outer diameter of 25 mm, and an inner one -21 mm, 10 cm of 5 mm wire, epoxy resin.
Instruments: wood hacksaw, drill, drill screwdriver, hammer, vise, grinder, electric sharpener, steel rivet, sandpaper, 8mm bits - for tightening roofing screws.
We collect the first device.
Step 1. From any dry board with a thickness of 50 mm, we cut off two blocks of the same size 150 * 200 mm. We connect them together with the help of 85 mm long self-tapping screws, then we process this bar with sandpaper
Step 2 From metal strips 60 * 20 * 3 mm in size in a vice we bend two Г - shaped brackets. The size of the small part is -10 mm, the fold height is -7 mm from the base of the bracket. On the long side of the bracket, we drill two holes with a diameter of 5 mm. All this is shown in the photo.
Step -3. We install the jack exactly in the center of the bar. On the sides of it we fasten our brackets with the help of roofing screws, so that the jack can easily slide in and out under these brackets.
The first fixture is ready.

Step 4. From a strip of steel we cut a square of 50 * 50 mm, a thickness of 5 mm, grind sharp edges on an emery. On this nickle we have our metal cup from the speaker. In the center, we drill a through hole in both parts with a diameter of 5 mm. On top of the penny we make the reaming of the hole with a 9 mm drill. Using a steel rivet, connect the glass to the nickle.
Step 5.From a steel pipe with a diameter of 25 mm, cut a small piece, a length equal to the height of the glass. We place this segment in the center of the glass, bend the ring from 5 mm wire, according to the diameter of this pipe. We place this ring inside the glass, between the tube and the walls. This is necessary so that the tube is strictly in the center of the glass. Fill the space between the tube and the walls with epoxy resin and wait for it to dry completely.
We put this glass on the rod shaft, thereby increasing the upper area of the jack. The second fixture is ready.
Thanks to these minor improvements, the jack base area increased from 100 square mm to 300 mm. The height of the lift was -150 -360 mm, and became 250 -460 mm. The upper part has also become larger, and already much more stable. I did this revision under the field of a Chevrolet. If you have a car lower than this, then you can use only one bar.
