How to make a lamp from a PVC pipe?

Hello!

PVC pipes have become a favorite material for the manufacture of various homemade. At first glance, you don’t understand what can be done from PVC sewer pipes? But in fact, this is just a godsend for the masters.

I came up with the idea of making such a spectacular lamp.

I saw a similar lamp on the Internet, though it has a slightly different shape.

For homemade work I needed:

In a hardware store I bought a meter-long ventilation pipe with a diameter of 10 cm. I bought a PVC flange for the base of the lamp. Flange diameter 10 cm.

First of all, you need to collect the base of the future lamp. I took a polystyrene tray. From it you need to cut a circle with a diameter of 10 cm. It should fit snugly into the flange.

In the center of the floor of the scientific circle, you need to make another hole for the bulb base.

Insert the bulb base. I will fix it with a glue gun.

Then I insert the flange into the PVC. Also fixed with hot glue.

The base of my future lamp is almost ready. It remains to drill a hole in the flange and stretch the power cable. I drill a through hole through a PVC pipe and flange.

So that the pipe can be easily removed from the base and the power cable does not interfere, I make a cut in the pipe (bit off with wire cutters). In case you need to replace the light bulb.

IMPORTANT! In this lamp, you can use only an LED bulb or energy-saving. If you use a conventional incandescent lamp, the lamp will melt!

Next is the most laborious and dusty stage of work. It is necessary to apply an abstract drawing to the PVC pipe. For this, I used a simple electrical tape.

I will cut with the help of a drill Ryobi. The process is not very fast and requires patience and perseverance :)

Remember safety measures! Use a breathing mask and safety glasses.

I ordered cutting discs on Aliexpress. It is more convenient to use a large disk. The result is more even.

Also, on Aliexpress, I ordered a Bluetooth bulb with an RGB backlight and a speaker.

The diameter of the lamp fit perfectly. 95 mm. It fits perfectly to the PVC pipe. The bulb is controlled from an IR remote. The signal perfectly passes through the walls of the PVC pipe.

And now I have not just a lamp, but a Bluetooth speaker with RGB backlight. The lamp went perfectly under the interior of my room. Her light creates a cozy, romantic atmosphere.

That's all. See you again.
