After the construction work was over, I had a few small pieces of plywood left. I want to offer you a way of their effective use in everyday life, namely the items so necessary in the kitchen.
The first I made a teapot stand. Why did I need a piece of plywood (suitable for almost any thickness), a hacksaw for curly cuts (it is sold in any hardware store), sandpaper and ordinary compasses. One type of hacksaw for curly cuts looks like this:
First of all, I measured the diameter of the teapot and drew a circle with a given size using a school compass on plywood.
Of course, you can use a jigsaw for cutting, but to make a circle with it you need experience and good skill. The hacksaw, unlike the usual one, has smaller "teeth", and therefore it will take longer and harder to cut with it, but it is not scary with it that any piece will break off from the edge during cutting. You can do it easier and cut an ordinary square. It all depends on you. I chose a heavier option.
After sawing with a hacksaw, we skin the edges to remove excessive roughness and burrs. So I got this:
To make a cutting board, we first draw a drawing on plywood (not necessarily curly, you can just a rectangle with slightly rounded edges). To cut it, I needed to spend more than an hour of free time. Patience and strength for a curly cutting board need a lot.
After cutting and grinding, you can make a hole with a drill to hang the board on a hook or a self-tapping screw, as you can see in the photo.
Also, if you have a sufficiently large piece of plywood, you can make a dough board. You can come up with a lot and not necessarily just kitchen items. And if you have any artistic talents, then you can draw on the back, that is, not used for other purposes, various drawings or inscriptions that can be applied, for example, by burning. And this is already a kind of universal gift. Any housewife will be very glad to have such peculiar and also ordinary household items in her kitchen. Please your friends and relatives.Good luck to all.
