So I bought one pair of new shoes for the fall.
According to the specifics of work, you have to walk quite a lot on the street and not for one hour.
For the whole day the shoes get very wet and in the evening they have to dry. But is it dry to warm? Many experts claim that after several drying cycles in the heat, the shoes simply dry out and become unusable. If you bought cheap shoes that will last only one season, then they are not so sorry. And if you have model shoes and are quite expensive, then more serious measures must be taken to dry them, or you will ruin them after the first exit.
How to extend the life of your shoes? It is necessary to dry not in heat, but better at room temperature. And this should be your prerogative! Many of you will probably say that this can’t be, because the shoes simply won’t dry ... I’ll tell you straight - they’ll dry! The main thing is to dry it with an air stream, then the drying process will be much faster. Probably many of you have tried to dry your shoes with a hairdryer or vacuum cleaner. As a result, a lot of noise, and drying does not work out for a long time, because a hairdryer or vacuum cleaner is never designed for long work.
You can try drying with a domestic fan, but effective drying does not work out. Unless you try to attach a hose, for example, from a vacuum cleaner, to a fan and put it in a boot ... But such a large fan will not be very convenient. But if you use a fan to cool the computer case - it would be just right. But how to connect it to a hose? In this short tutorial, we’ll take a closer look at how to do all this!
Initially, we buy an electric adjustable box in a store, like this:
And a small piece of corrugated PVC pipe, in which various cables are usually laid. Initially, we need to remove the two plugs from the box and then expand them a little. This is done so that two pieces of the previously purchased PVC pipe can be inserted into it.
From above, cut a round hole for installing the fan:
Then we screw the fan itself to our box with screws.
And be sure to check that he drove air into the box, and not vice versa. And on the free ends of the PVC pipe we make plugs.
For their manufacture, I used caps caps, which are usually sold shoe covers. You, in turn, can make them any way possible. On the side surface of the PVC pipe, we make many holes - for air outlet.
I made them an ordinary awl. The fan power connector is installed in the box and then solder the ends from the fan to it.
Install the lid on the box.
Here is our shoe dryer ready:
It remains only to connect the fan to any 12 V power supply. The fan works and thereby blows air into the PVC pipes. We put them in wet shoes.
Such a dryer is completely safe, since it is made only of plastic and only 12 V. : very wet shoes dry in 2-6 hours. Due to the low energy consumption, the dryer can be used as in carso in the garage or a cottage where there is not always electricity.
At the same time, your shoes will not stick out, will not crack, will not warp and will not lose shape during drying. Shoes dry completely even in the most inaccessible places, for example, in a sock. In this case, the air stream blows all the moisture! The dryer is completely universal, due to the use of small-diameter sleeves, they can be inserted into various shoes, from high boots to small children's booties.
You can’t buy one in the store, but you can do it yourself in the evening.

- adjustable electric box - 30 rubles. (took a larger diameter so that a large fan could fit on top);
- Corrugated PVC pipe Ø25 mm, 1 m - 11 rubles. (a little harsh, a corrugated drain hose from a washing machine is better);
- A fan from a computer 60x60 mm 12V for 62 rubles. (bought a new one to make less noise) - can be found in any computer store;
- Self-tapping screws - 4 pieces of 25 mm with a diameter of 3.5 mm (they cost quite a penny, can also be found in any household);
- power adapter 220 / 12V 0.34 A for 195 rubles. (if with a current of up to 0.2 A, it will be a little cheaper) - can be found in any radio store;
- Power connector 5.5 × 2.2 mm - about 25 rubles. Also in the radio store. You can not use it, but simply twist the wires of the fan and power adapter directly. But using a connector will provide greater security for your design and will be more convenient.
