What is necessary:
• old chair
• 2 sheets of plywood for the size of the future back and chair seat
• 2 MDF surfaces according to the size of the future back and chair seats
• tennis balls 50 pieces
• bolts
• drill
• punching machine (or other similar tool)
• varnish
• sandpaper of different grit
• piece of cloth (rag)
Step 1: Finding the Right Chair
Find an old chair. Unscrew pillows from a seat and from a back.
Step 2: create the foundation
Select the plywood according to the size of the seat and back, it will become the frame for the chair, and mark the plywood with circles of the desired diameter and cut them with a suitable tool. It should get 25 holes in the back and seat.
Take two MDF panels and transfer circles marked on plywood to them. Using the punching machine, make the holes on the panels a little smaller than the size of a tennis ball.
Sand the surfaces thoroughly with sandpaper.
Step 3: set the balls
We check the correspondence of the balls to the cut holes, they should not fall out.
Step 4: Finishing Up
Pass the finest sandpaper on the back and seat surfaces again. Wipe them with a cloth to remove dust. Now you can varnish the seat and back of the chair. Let it dry. Bolt the back and seats to the chair. Set the balls.
After the work done, you can sit down and relax on a chair.
