There are quite a few fans of football in our country. Watching a match on TV is not always as fun and exciting as, for example, in a sports bar. But why not diversify your home interior and please yourself with a real football table in the spirit of the 2014 World Cup?
Making it will not take much time and effort, create an excellent mood and become an integral part of a fun soccer beer party in a circle of like-minded people.
You will need:
• Material for countertops, measuring 80 x 80 cm or 120 x 60 cm and a thickness of 25 mm;
• Four soccer balls;
• Electric fretsaw;
• Acrylic paint: white and green;
• brush;
• Masking tape;
• Saucer;
• Pencil
We will cut four holes in the countertop - for the legs, the role of which will be played by soccer balls.
To build a table, you need a wood slab, the thickness of which should be at least 25 mm. Sizes may vary. For example, the proposed one is already 80x80 cm or close in size to a real football field 120x60 cm.
On a wooden board in the corners, draw four circles (drawing a pencil around a tea saucer). The diameter of the circles (and, accordingly, the saucer) should be about 16 cm. Cut the holes along the contour.
Paint the soccer field with white acrylic paint and let it dry properly. Using adhesive tape, mark the field, these lines will remain white. Paint the rest of the area green. If you want to make the table more authentic, you can stick artificial grass on the field.
It remains to draw the center circle. To do this, stick using adhesive tape in the center of the field 2 circles, with a diameter of 16 and 20 cm. Between them, apply white paint and let it dry. The finishing touch is the “legs”. Insert soccer balls into the cut out holes and congratulate yourself on your successful completion!
