Probably, each person was faced with the appearance of small fruit midges in the kitchen. Scientifically, they are called Drosophila. These insects are attracted by the smell of fruits, where they subsequently lay their eggs. It happens that an apple or a pear is literally “stuck” with Drosophila. How to get rid of them? There is a great solution - to build a trap for Drosophila do it yourself.
To get started, look at the master class on how to make a trap for Drosophila:
Materials and tools for manufacturing
● Liter glass jar;
● Food parchment;
● Office gum;
● Scissors;
● Rotten fruit - a pear or an apple.
Manufacture
From a sheet of parchment cut a piece measuring 10 by 10 centimeters.
Dip the fruit in a jar. We used a ripe pear, which began to rot.
Put a sheet of parchment on the neck of the jar and wrap it with an elastic band to hold it tightly. Try to keep the parchment surface taut.
Make a small hole in the middle of the parchment with scissors.
So, the Drosophila trap is ready. Now it must be put in the place where the most insects. The cats will smell rotten fruit and crawl into the can. And they won’t be able to get back. When all Drosophila are caught, open a jar in the fresh air and drive insects away. Then the trap can be used again.
