Many people like to play darts, shoot at the shooting range and other similar fun. But what if you try to combine them using an ordinary cheap children's gun. We will need:
- toy piston gun;
- screwdriver;
- drilling machine;
- 12 mm drill;
- aluminum tube;
- round file;
- insulating tape;
- epoxy resin;
- needles from syringes;
- molar tape
Let's start with the disassembly of the gun. To do this, take a screwdriver and unscrew the screws on the bottom of the piston. From the piston we need a spring.
We remove the spring and begin to stretch it to increase the force of impact.

Next, the author of the video cuts the orange tip on the gun barrel. There are no specific recommendations, since this step completely depends on the model of the gun, as well as on personal preferences.
The next step is to drill a hole on the back of the gun. The author of a makeshift dartostrel uses a drilling machine for this, which can be replaced with a drill or a screwdriver.
Now you need to completely remove the valve in the barrel. We remove the spring, as well as the guide plastic for standard foam shells.
As a barrel, you can now use an aluminum tube. The author’s pipe is twice as long as the factory barrel. The length of the tube will increase the speed of the projectile.
After cutting the tube, you need to walk along its inside to smooth out all the bumps.
We wrap part of the barrel with insulating tape along the inner diameter of the hole in the gun.
Now you need to take care of the sealing. The author of the homemade product uses a two-component “Poxipol” for this, which can be replaced with epoxy. She needs to close up the drilled hole on the back of the gun.
You also need to spread a little epoxy on a makeshift aluminum barrel to ensure the best sealing.
After the epoxy has dried, we collect our gun back and go to the cartridges.
For the manufacture of shells for our gun, you will need ordinary needles from medical syringes.
We sharpen the plastic parts of the needles, grind the tip so that the needles do not blunt after the first shot.
We take the masking tape and make the plumage of the darts.
Our gun is ready.
