Make a wooden table on wheels that can be moved anywhere. It will be indispensable for outdoor recreation.
To create such a table, the author used:
• 1 piece of oak trunk for countertops
• 1 log for the base of the table
• Several boards, which can then be cut into 6 identical parts
• 3 clips
All materials were taken from sawn trees, so specifically for this you do not need to destroy living trees.
All dimensions of the table are arbitrary - the article describes only the method.
Consider the height of the table before you start sawing a tree.
Countertop
We make a saw cut of the desired thickness of wood. Use a chainsaw, which will greatly speed up the whole process.
Table base
Saw off a small piece for the tabletop with a lid. We cut out small pieces at the same distance from each other, as in the photo above. We insert prepared boards of the same size into these slots. There is little space in the center: the boards do not fit snugly together. Then from above we put on a “cap”.
The boards may not be enough for stability - install three boards for the legs.
We attach the rollers with ordinary bolts to the bottom of the legs.
In the center of the log in the upper part, we drive in an iron rod or screw, a countertop will be mounted on it.
Countertop Installation
The base must be stable, do not roll on its side, otherwise the countertop will not hold.
If, however, the foundation is a little uneven, do everything possible to fix it.
We fix the countertop on the base with a rod or screw.
Finishing touches
The table is ready! It stands flat, the countertop is tightly fixed to the base, it can be moved to any place on the rollers. Next, you can paint the table in any suitable color.
