This is a simple option for making a coffee table, which can be done with the old stop sign.
Step 1: Choosing the basis of the table
To do this, you need plywood made of birch, 1.9 cm thick. Find the center by drawing diagonal lines from each corner.
You will also need blanks for legs (6 pieces), in this manual half-finished parts are already used. See the photo.
Step 2: Cut the pieces
We cut out all parts with a band saw and a jigsaw with small teeth.
Step 3: Cleaning and preparing the wooden parts
Grind all parts with 220 grit sandpaper.
Step 4: Clean and Prepare the Sign
Make holes around the perimeter of the sign. Use a drill bit (bit) 0.23 cm.
Roughnesses remain on the reverse side, they can be corrected again using sandpaper or a grinding machine.
Step 5: Finish Working With Wood Parts
We pass all the details with 220 grit sandpaper, and then varnish twice, let dry.
Step 6: Installation
Putting the table together. We glue the legs with the lower shelf and countertop, attach the “Stop” sign and fix it with bolts and a drill.
Step 7: Variations
Instead of the Stop sign, you can use other traffic signs, as shown in the photo.
