They say that you can look at a burning fire forever. Bonfire makes gatherings in nature more comfortable, and conversation - sincere. The main thing is that the bonfire site is safe, because a gentle bonfire turns into a fire in a matter of minutes.
It is possible to organize a compact bonfire place from half a steel sheet.
Step # 1: What You Need
• Half steel corrugated sheet 2.1 mm thick;
• Roulette;
• Welded apparatus;
• Grinder with cutting discs;
• Grinding disk;
• wire brush;
• Hammer;
• Drill with a set of drills;
• Spray with heat-resistant black paint;
• Protective equipment (gloves, glasses, ear plugs)
Step # 2: getting started
Before you start working with steel, do model on graph paper and select the appropriate size. Transfer the drawing to a steel sheet. This is quite easy to do, just draw on the smooth side of the sheet.
Step # 3: Sawing
This stage is quite simple, but very noisy. Using a grinder, cut out the triangles in the corners, as shown in the photographs. Next, fold the sheet along the drawn lines. It is better to do this together, then the product will turn out more accurate. By the way, it is better to cut the drawn lines with cutting discs somewhere in half the thickness of the metal, so folding will be much more convenient.
Step # 4: First Bend
If you cut through the fold lines, then this step will not be difficult. Bend the external parts, but do not try to achieve the final look of your product. Then bend the inner folds in the opposite direction. Make sure the folded sides meet in the corners. Metal does not hold well in a bent state, and tends to turn around. Use twine to hold it.
Step # 5: Welding
Now the folded seams need to be welded. After the seams are ready, the structure can be adjusted with a hammer, giving it the desired
form. Noisy, of course, but effective. Turn the work over and finish the seams where necessary. Try to make the seams neat.
Step number 6: Bend further
Now you need to bend from the outside to finish the corners. The work is not easy and the assistant will not hurt.Compare the angles with each other to make them the same.
Step number 7: continue welding
In order for the metal corners to come together, straighten them again with a hammer, and then brew.
Step 8: Finish
The main work has been completed, but several more minor things remain to be done:
• Grind the welds so that they look neat;
• Drill several holes to drain the water - one in the center and in each corner;
• If there is somewhere rust or scale, remove it with a metal brush;
• To top it off, paint the structure with heat-resistant black paint.
Step # 9: Conclusion
Now you have a bonfire place that you can be proud of. Fill it with firewood, make a fire, call your friends (make sure one of them has a guitar and knows how to use it), grab some delicious food and beer. There is nothing better than sitting around a fire with good friends!
