Ahead of summer, and with it comes the time for construction. Very often during construction there is a need for screening sand. I want to introduce you a method of manufacturing the most compact, convenient and cheap tool for sifting river sand.
For its manufacture from materials we need:
- two wooden bars: 40x40x3000 mm and 20x40x3000 mm,
- a woven mesh with a hole diameter of 2x2 mm, as well as nails with a length of 100 mm and 40 mm.
Of the tools needed hacksaw, hammer, tape measure and pencil.
It is better to buy a woven mesh from the beginning in the store of the size you need so that there is no need to cut it at home, in this case we need it with dimensions of 60x68 cm. It looks like this (it is bent for clarity).
To begin with, we cut using a hacksaw a bar 40x40x3000 mm into four parts: two 60 cm long and two 90 cm long (in this case there will be only three slices and the bar is completely used without residues). Also cut off from the bar 20x40 four parts 60 cm long.
Now you need to fasten the bars 40x40 60 cm and 90 cm long with a 100 mm nail. In this case, it is necessary to move 15 cm from the edge of the bar (90 cm).
The bars stand perpendicular to each other. Similarly, three other sides. As a result, we get the following construction:
Now it is necessary to fix the grid, for this we nail with a 40 mm bar 20x40x600 mm to the structure obtained above.
Similarly remaining parties.
As a result, we get a compact, reliable, inexpensive and convenient mesh for screening sand with handles on both sides.
