Buying a quick and easy trunk for a car is not a problem. But for modern domestic cars, such a device will need to be crafted independently, since it is much more economical.
In general, a car roof rack is a very good thing. It is installed on virtually any carsto transport a wide variety of bulky items and fixturesthat just don’t fit inside the car — for example, snowboards, bicycles, skiing. But the most basic category is summer residents, since such a car carrier is simply necessary for the delivery of a variety of lengthy building materials, the total weight of which can reach up to 70 kg. All the while, carrying a car roof rack is uncomfortable to put it mildly: since it makes a lot of noise, and fuel consumption also increases. For this reason, the upper trunk is most often stored somewhere in the garage either in the country, and also install if necessary. Probably some had a situation where they just had to regret the removed upper trunk: just by accident while driving along the road, I saw the necessary overall thing, and I couldn’t just get it because the trunk was missing. Quick-detachable car trunks
Step 1. Having disassembled the most ordinary upper trunk, it is necessary to take standard fasteners from it, as well as two tubes with a square section, which must be sawed in half with a hacksaw. In order to connect these two halves, it is best to use a piece of ordinary metal pipe with a rectangular section of 25 x 40 mm. Then cut off a strip along it - and the so-called channel has been obtained, which has suitable dimensions. The tubes of the trunk are placed in it, as in an ordinary clutch, with a very small backlash.
Step 2 Having drilled 4 holes in the pipes and the channel, on the one hand you should fix the channel with the pipes using bolts with the most ordinary nuts and on the other hand you should get a collapsible assembly equipped with wing nuts and bolts. To assemble such a trunk cross member, you just need to insert a regular tube inside the channel, aligning the holes for the bolts themselves, insert the bolts into the holes, and then fix the structure with the wing nuts.
Step 3 Such a trunk is installed in just two minutes, and it is extremely simple, since the factory hardware has not changed at all. The whole structure is attached to the rigidity of the transported cargo, which in a single link the whole trunk itself. Such a collapsible trunk also takes up very little space, and also fits freely inside the trunk of a car.
