Operating procedure:
First you need to make a pattern on tracing paper, using the dimensions of the coil, but at the same time adding 1 cm on all sides for a seam. Thanks to this pattern, pieces from sintepon, foam rubber and fabrics will be properly cut out. Next, wooden circles-coils are taken and connected to each other using bars.
The frame is ready. Now you need to cover it with material. First, synthetic winterizer and batting are used. Ribbons are attached around the upper and lower circles along the outer edge. Used a stapler. During the fastening process, it is important to ensure that the fabric is properly tensioned. This material is also suitable for filling voids between circles.
Now, using a template, an electric knife cuts a circle on the foam. In order to make the edges clear to the maximum, it is recommended to direct the knife perpendicularly.
A circle of foam rubber is connected to the upper coil with glue. In the same way, a synthetic winterizer or batting is attached, while it is important to leave 5 cm in reserve on the sides. Batting is attached to the foam rubber with stitches. It is best to use a sewing machine. Excess material is trimmed. Thus, the whole structure should be wrapped and the material should be fixed on the lower circle.
A kind of cover is made of fabric. To do this, the template is transferred to it. However, you need to add 3 cm to the height of the coil with foam rubber and synthetic winterizer and 12 cm to the circumference. In the event that the fabric is not whole, but in pieces, when stitching them, it is important to leave allowances on each piece of 3 cm.
Now the cover can be sewn by cutting off excess fabric. The resulting cover is turned out and the seams are adjusted from above.
The ottoman is tightly covered with the resulting cover. You should focus on the drawing on the cover - there should be no folds, offsets to the side.
The fabric is fixed at the bottom with a stapler. It is recommended that you first process one section, securing the fabric on it with brackets, then turn the product over and move in the opposite direction.
The next step is fixing the legs. But before that, you should mark the places where they will be attached. Legs should be placed at the same distance from each other. And in order not to make a mistake in this, it is best to make markings using pieces of colored electrical tape or some other materials. When the marking is done, drill holes for fixing the plates. However, such holes should be made before the fabric is finally stretched.
A piece of fabric is attached to the bottom of the coil with staples.
Homemade pouf is ready! In appearance, it will not be inferior to the store, as well as in terms of comfort.
