The stand for your bike is not difficult to make. It is useful and multifunctional. For its manufacture, improvised and purchased materials are used. Most of the materials can be found in the plumbing store. The budget stand does not exceed 3,500 rubles.
Step 1: Required Parts and Tools:
1. Flat-head screwdriver
2. ½ ”galvanized nipple (18” length) - 2 pcs.
3. ½ ”galvanized pipe (length 60”) - 1 pc.
4. ½ ”galvanized bent pipe with a rotation angle of 90 ° - 3 pcs.
5. ½ ”galvanized nipple (length 10”) - 3 pcs.
6. ½ ”galvanized head - 2 pcs.
7. Spring clip - 1 pc.
8. ½ ”galvanized tee - 1 pc.
9. Clamps, size may vary. In this case: ¾ ”and 1.5” - 2 pcs.
Step 2: The Basics
Through the tee we connect 2 nipples 10 ”long. and fix the resulting connection with bolts.
Step 3: Pipes
To the 2 nipples 18 ”long we connect (from the right end) elbow pipes.
Step 4: Assembling the base
In accordance with Figure 1, we assemble all the parts from steps 1-3. Heads are screwed onto 18 ”unoccupied pipe ends (Fig. 2).
Step 5: Vertical
There is one hole in the tee, we install a 60 ”pipe in it.
Step 6: Leverage
One remaining 10 ”nipple is connected to the bent pipe. Securely fixed. We fix the resulting structure on top of a long vertical tube.
Step 7: Clamp, lock it
2 clamps are attached to the spring clip, they are attached to the upper steel shoulder (see. Fig. 1). The clamps are adjustable and tightened to achieve reliable fixation of the spring clip on the pipe.
Step 8: Completion
We test the resulting stand for strength by hanging the bike with the spring clip of the stand.
Step 9: Improvements, Improving Resilience
Stability can be improved by applying a load to the tubes of the base of the stand. If you use a vertical pipe of shorter length, the stability of the stand will also increase, the stand will be more resistant to vibrations.
