This sight on the Ali-Express website is positioned as a sight for an air rifle. For this purpose, I acquired it. But, as it turned out, it is not suitable for use on pneumatic weapons. I will explain for those. who do not know how pneumatic differs in this context weapons from a gunshot:
At first glance, recoil in a gunshot far exceeds pneumatic recoil. So it is, but only in amplitude. In sharpness, the flinches of an air rifle during a shot far exceed the firearm. That is, the gun “tears from the hands” is much stronger, and the “air” is barely noticeable, but this jerk, although weak, takes place in a shorter time! Accordingly, parts of pneumatics receive a stronger impulse.
That is why bolts are loosened faster on pneumatics, or the sight goes off than on firearms - because this happens in connection with the inertia phenomenon: any part that has mass receives a more significant impulse. For this reason, and optical sights that will serve well on firearms, air rifles can go off much faster. She needs a better case and adjustment mechanisms.
The same sight is primitive! The case is made of a very thin aluminum tube, the adjustment mechanism is the simplest - under the caps are the adjustment screws, which, when twisted, simply rest against the wall of the inner tube and shift it. In addition, they are fixed in a plastic sleeve!
When used on an MP-512 air rifle, the adjustment was enough for a few shots. I had to constantly shoot ... In the end, the clutch simply broke. After repair, the sight was mounted on a makeshift crossbow, where it showed itself from the best side!
It has practically no parallax, therefore, it does not require sharpness adjustment over the entire distance amplitude - after all, an aiming range of 100 meters is enough for a crossbow. Fourfold magnification at this distance is enough!
If you are going to make home-made "weapons" for entertaining shooting - this scope with its ridiculous price will save you the strength and time that you spend on making home-made sights.
