Continuing the theme "cultivator upgrade".
For a long time I wanted, for planting potatoes, to cut the ridges with a cultivator, but I could not figure out how to do all this. Although at the moment, there was a factory-hiller and cut off parts from regular ground hooks. Of these, I wanted to make wheels for cutting ridges because regular ones were quite wide for repeated movement between the ridges. To realize my idea I needed: an electric drill with drills; thin section cutting machine; electric welding; calipers; a metal sheet.
Cut out 2 squares from a metal sheet Marked the "center" and drilled a hole of 2 mm. For marking the circle came up with a simple deviceconsisting of: pencil; mounting suspension; 3 screws. Rotating the workpiece around the center received an even line, along which I cut a circle. On the cut-off part Put the resulting blank. After determining the center using a caliper, I welded both parts. On the one and the other side. To hold the wheels on the axis of the cultivator, he made 2 pipes. Boring the central hole with: machine and file grinding set the pipes in the wheels After adjusting the depth of landing of the wheels on the axis of the cultivator and setting the angle of 90 ° between the wheel and the pipe, to reduce runout, boiled both parts on both sides. After drilling holes, for the locking finger, set the wheels on the cultivator. It turned out a good1 result.
I wish you all success in inventing.
