Hello to all lovers homemade, sometimes you want to do something convenient for the kitchen, and most importantly useful. Once, the author thought about where to place the bags of spices so that they did not interfere, but were in second availability and he had the idea to make a shelf for this. In this article I will tell you how the author of the homemade made a shelf for spices do it yourself. To make such a makeshift stand many tools are not needed, but if a person can afford a jigsaw, then this shelf will be much faster.
In order to make such a shelf for spices with your own hands, we need:
* Pine board 40cm long and 12cm wide.
* Sanding machine with emery tape of different grit.
* Electric jigsaw, replace in the absence of a conventional hacksaw for metal and a manual jigsaw.
* Corner.
* PVA glue.
That's all the parts that are needed to assemble the shelf.
Step one.
First of all, as real engineers, we note the future sizes on paper, at best it will be if this is done in the Compass 3D program. When the final drawing is ready, you can proceed to the next step.
Step Two
Using an electric jigsaw, we cut out each of the parts according to the template, and so that the part does not move relative to the table, we press it with a joiner's vice or clamps to a workbench. Be careful when working with a jigsaw, wear gloves and safety glasses.
The result is such component parts. It looks quite symmetrical.
Step Three
Before you pick up the glue, you need to make a preliminary fitting, in order to make sure the even angles of each part and that the parts fit snugly together.
Step Four
We proceed to gluing the parts. The first thing we spread with glue will be the lower base and two parallel planks in the middle. Gluing is done at an angle of 90 degrees, for verification, you can put a construction corner at the junction, after which we press with a heavy load from above or clamps.
Then we glue the side walls with the upper plank. It looks like a half-assembled shelf.
Then we bring the shelf design to its final state using the same glue, gluing all the parts together.
We also cut out small doors for three compartments. They look like this.
Step Five
The final step is the surface treatment with a grinder, with which you can easily remove burrs in the wood, and also give a more aesthetic appearance, after which we coat the shelf with varnish.
On this shelf for spices is ready, you can put in the kitchen and use with pleasure.
