Converting a table lamp to an LED

Hello everybody . We remodel the table lamp with a fluorescent lamp into an LED. The aluminum sheet is cut to the size of the lamp, we make ears for fastening. We attach 3 LEDs of 3 watts per sheet and connect them in series. From the back, I fixed three radiators 3 by 3 cm, you can screw a larger radiator. Inside we hide the driver at 10 watts.

The lens is cut out of the film, which is located in the broken laptop screen. There are 4 sheets of various films.


We make cuts and insert plastic under aluminum.

Turn on. This lamp has been shining for me for 3 years, there are no problems. Radiator heating 45 degrees.

Using SMD LEDs + a rectangular substrate, I got a more elegant solution (photo clickable).

And wouldn’t it be easier to glue the existing reflector in several rows with SMD5050 tapes?
