Hello dear friends !!!
In this article I will tell and show how to make a trihedral key do it yourself. This key is useful to every traveler who likes to travel on trains. Such a tool will be able to open the door in the transitions between cars, open the toilet during the sanitary zone, and much more.

In order to make such a key you will need:
- Sheet metal
- Waste hexagon
- electrical tape
- Scissors for metal
- pliers
- Ruler
- Waste pen
- Super glue

Step 1.
First, we need to cut a piece of metal from a piece of 60 mm long and 25 mm wide.

Next, we draw with a pen and a ruler a diagram on the prepared piece. (according to the drawing below)

Later we cut along the lines.

Step 2
Bend the metal along the lines.

Step 3
We wrap the future key with electrical tape.
Step 4
Then we take the hexagon and attach it on one side.

At the end, we fix the hexagon with the key with super glue and wrap with tape the place where the gluing was done.

The last part is the winding of the entire key (for beauty).

Voila, the key is ready!

I mean the brake shoe, not switch. The brake shoe is installed under the wheelset so that the cars would not roll. They used to have numbers (as well as on Putsky’s keys) and their own specific storage location with the possibility of locking under locks.

Yes, I agree with you that it is forbidden for persons who do not have the right to provide keys. I myself am a young railwayman of the Orenburg Railways, and recently re-read the Rules of the Technique of Operation of Railways, and there it’s just said a little about it, namely:
III. General Responsibilities of Railway Workers.

At the school, on locksmith works, they made sets of a trihedron + a driver's cab key + a screwdriver. Sometimes, instead of a trihedron, four were made for diesel trains. By the way, we were warned about the responsibility for using keys by a person who is not entitled to it. I don’t know how it is now, in Soviet times there was criminal liability for the loss of, for example, railway shoe or puti key.
