Step one.
It is necessary to cut each bar 2 * 4 in half for this it needs to be fixed on the band saw to turn into bars 1 * 4. After that they need to be sanded. You can skip this step if you immediately bought 1 * 4 inch bars.
Step Two
From the resulting bars, you need to cut squares with a side of two inches.
Step Three
Use a hand mill and round the edges of each square at an angle of 45 degrees, then all this needs to be properly sanded.
Step Four
It is necessary to process the squares again with sandpaper to prepare for staining.
Then you should arrange the squares in the form of Mario and, with the help of the remaining bars, fix it to glue and nails. It remains only to color everything.
Red squares are stained with food coloring of the corresponding color mixed with medical alcohol.
Light squares are covered with a light brown varnish.
Dark brown squares are covered with dark walnut.
