Having caught fish and salted it, I wondered, but where to dry it?
The old dryer fell apart, and very few fish were placed in it.
The idea came to my mind after the next cleaning up in the barn. I caught the eye of a color TV in a partially disassembled state. Having taken out all that was superfluous from it, I set about making the plan.
For the dryer we need:
- the case from the old TV, I will tell you more about it below;
- loop or loop, I have a piano;
- mosquito net, sold in a hardware store;
- wooden slats;
- wire;
- a stapler or small nails;
- screws.
About the body.
Since I have it ready, and if you find one, it’s half the work done. If not ready, then you can make it yourself from plywood, OSB and similar. Although from chipboard, but then the design will become heavier. The sizes are arbitrary.
I have this:
width - 610 mm
height - 415 mm
depth - 155 mm.
The first step is to cover the back wall with a mosquito net. She is deaf with us. We stretch the grid, press down with slats and fix. So that the mesh does not break, we put the spacer.
Front door opening. It is done very simply. We make a frame according to the size of the box and fit it with a mosquito net. If needed. We make struts that the door did not deform.
We fasten our door to the piano loop. I attached with standard head screws.
Caps interfered from the inside, drilled holes and everything closes tightly.
He made such “ears” for hanging the dryer. You can sell the pin or hang on hooks.
By pulling a string of aluminum wire, diameters of 3 mm. Outside fastened with screws. To prevent slipping and popping of the wire.
The door is pressed onto the spring clip, also removed from the old TV. You can put a latch.
So as not to drip juice from fish, you can substitute foam pallets.
Here we have such a dryer for fish. Simple, affordable, reliable.
