In this article, we will consider how the author, from improvised materials, fashioned a turntable for photographing small objects.
Tools and materials:
-Microwave;
-Plastic pallet;
-Cutting board;
-Power wire with plug and switch;
-M4 bolt with nut and washer-4 pcs;
- Screws 3 * 10 mm - 3 pcs;
-Rubber plug;
-Screwdriver;
-USHM;
-Scissors for metal;
-Drill;
-Rule;
-Pencil;
-Awl;
Step One: Microwave
The master took all the main details from the microwave, with a non-working magnetron. Using a screwdriver and angle grinder disassembles the microwave. For further work, you will need the entire lower part. Playground, scooter, engine, wire, cupler, glass plate.
Step Two: Turntable
For his product, the author took a round cutting board with a diameter of 230 mm and a thickness of 10 mm. On the board there is a groove whose diameter coincides with the diameter of the roller.
Finds the center of the board. Drills a hole with a diameter of 3 mm. Attaches the center of the coupler and marks the places for the hooks. Screws with nuts placed under the caps will be used as hooks. Screws in screws. Trying on a cupler. Installs a roller in the groove. Scooter just gets into the groove.
Step Three: Playground
A plastic plate is applied to the pad and outlines. Scissors cuts on the markup. On the edge of the site drills, cross to cross, four holes with a diameter of 4.5 mm.
Step Four: Build
Sets a plate on the pad. It makes holes in a plate, like on a platform. A hole is drilled in the side surface for the wire. Installs a plug in the hole, stretches the wire. Fixes an electric motor. Connects the wire and motor terminals. Screws a plastic plate to the platform.
Secures the coupler to the motor shaft. Sets the scooter and plate.
The turntable is ready. You can use a regular glass plate, but preferably a wooden one.
You can also install another table on the platform. The tables are centered using an awl.
The turntable is ready. The rotation speed of the table is 5 rpm.
Well, a photo of the tests.
In the future, the master made another turntable, with another, more powerful drive. But more about that in another review.
