We will need:
• A suitable nut (the main thing is that it fits on the finger)
• Sandpaper of different grain sizes (200, 500, 1000, 1500, 2000)
• Polishing cream for metal
From the tools:
• Engraver (napping) with various nozzles
• Flexible shaft (not so important, but more convenient with it)
To begin with, the nut must be rid of all bumps and burrs. We do this with sandpaper.
Carefully put the nut and start driving it on sandpaper (first the largest grit). It is important to put the nut at the right angle so as not to grind excess.
We continue to grind the gaku changing, granularity and achieving a perfectly smooth surface.
We also grind the butt.
After processing with sandpaper, you should get something like this.
