Drawing board.
In addition to the usual set of drawing instruments (ruler, pair of compasses, pencil), a home designer needs a drawing board with a raisin (or culman).
A drawing board with an ordinary raiser is convenient, but it does not allow drawing vertical and inclined lines at given angles, as it is not equipped with a goniometer. It is clear that working on such a board is unproductive. A drawing kulman, in which lines are easy to draw at any angle, takes up a lot of space and is difficult to obtain.
Therefore, I propose to make a home-made, small-sized, easy-to-use drawing board with a "floating" raiser and a rotary auxiliary disk-tablet, which will perform its duties no worse than a culmination.
Such a drawing board (Fig. 1), as already mentioned, consists of a baseboard, a “floating” raiser and a rotary auxiliary tablet disk, on which the drawing itself is carried out.

The tablet disk is mounted in an axial circular cavity of the base, so that it can rotate relative to the base. In this turntable is all the salt of the sentence. Thus, if it is necessary to draw lines at any angle, we turn the tablet with the drawing attached to it at this angle. The rayshina installed on the board does not change its position. To facilitate the rotation of the tablet between it and the base, steel balls are mounted in the annular grooves of the disk and the base (but you can think of another design for the slip assembly).
The “floating” vane is equipped with guide rollers, thanks to which it is easy to move up and down the board, while maintaining its horizontal position when moving. A standard version of the raiser is also possible, in which the ruler with the blocks installed at its ends moves along two threads (fishing lines) thrown over the blocks and fixed on the board.
Based on the perimeter (circumference) of the tablet disk, a goniometric scale is applied with a graduation of one degree. A pointer is mounted on the tablet at the head, as well as f and k-s a t o r, which serves to fasten the tablet at a given angle.
Work on the drawing board is as follows.A sheet of paper is fixed on a disk-tablet and all the lines (horizontal, vertical and inclined) are drawn using a taper. It is clear that when drawing vertical and inclined lines, the disk is rotated together with the drawing at the appropriate angle.
Our drawing board is not difficult to make from a standard drawing board and a piece of plywood. The size of the board depends on your desire, it is convenient to operate, simple in design and allows you to carry out drawings of medium complexity with high accuracy and significant performance. We repeat, the main idea here is, and the design of certain nodes depends on your ingenuity.
