Two-layer attic insulation

Two-layer roof insulation with insulation plates. We mount the first layer between the rafters with the upper ventilation gap. Then we cover the bottom of the rafters with a second layer with a complete overlap of the area. We install on mounting foam and use self-tapping screws (hardware) as temporary fasteners + for the second layer it is convenient to use brackets (plates with holes) for a metal profile (used for drywall or siding). After the mounting foam has dried, we wind the rails with a cross section of 50 by 25 at the place of the rafters. We fasten the finishing sheets along the rails (LSU, drywall, etc.)

Pros: The roof is very warm, protection against leaks of precipitation, installation without the use of respiratory protection devices, when using LSU fireproof (within reasonable limits). Not a pie, but a fairy tale!

Minuses: The field rodents were sickened, the sound of their hooves was taken out (they run on the surface from the street and gnaw the insulation). Forced to turn on ultrasound to scare away. During installation, you can stick everything with mounting foam. Good polystyrene foam is quite expensive compared to cotton.
