Back to nature.
In the forest, a tree can become a refuge for animals of different classes and plants. Homes are for things.
The author took up the manufacture of a wooden box from chocks and brought it to the end. We observe the creative process.
Tools that were needed:
1) hand saw;
2) a lathe;
3) electric drill;
4) a drill for wood;
5) grinding machine;
6) sandpaper;
7) a clamp;
8) cutters for a lathe.
Materials:
1) a log (with bark);
2) carpentry glue;
3) dowel.
Manufacturing process:
Step one. Sawing.
We are sawing a log into three parts, pressed against the tabletop with a clamp, into three parts. We will need two of them: the larger one is the basis for the box itself, and the smaller one will serve as a lid.
Step Two Getting rid of excess.
Using cutters, we take out on the lathe the inner part of the cylindrical workpiece.
Step Three Stripping.
We process the surface with fixturesconsisting of a handle and sandpaper attached to one of its ends. The surface is smooth and dark.
Step Four Cap.
We drill in the end (in the form of a ring) part a hole for a round spike, previously installed on the lid, and insert it into place. We look how she sits. You can see that the holes were made in such a way that when closed, the round box creates the illusion of a natural part of the log.
Step Five Last. (And again about grinding).
We grind the end of the box on the machine with which it will come into contact with the surface serving as a support. A box in its own bark is ready for storage inside itself.
Conclusion
It turned out quite non-standard - a standard box, suggesting with its appearance to thoughts about nature; weighty. It remains to find ten signs by which you can safely and accurately place it with your base on another surface. The main thing is not to throw the box into the furnace, mistaking it for solid fuel. And do not put under the wheel of the vehicle.
