How to make a simple do-it-yourself automatic dispenser for chewing gum or small parts from corrugated cardboard

Good day to all dear friends! In today's article, I would like to show you a rather interesting idea homemade. I think many people know about chewing gum machines, which are usually found in various stores and other crowded places. The principle of their work is quite simple, you put one or two coins in a special slot, scroll the handle one or two times, which is next to the slot for receiving money and randomly drops some kind of chewing gum or other small thing into your hand. But what if I say that such a machine can be made in home conditions, and even from fairly common parts, one of the main, by the way, corrugated cardboard, which is now very popular in this kind of homemade goods.

Of course, this machine for issuing will not take money, and in order to get chewing gum, just click on a special button. In general, the homemade product is very interesting, so that we will not pull. Let's go!

For this homemade product we need:
-corrugated cardboard
barbecue skewers
office gum
ice cream sticks
-transparent plastic or orc glass
Of the tools we will also need:
-cautery on wood
-therm glue
nippers
-stationery knife
-Super glue
pencil or marker

First of all, we take a clerical knife and corrugated cardboard. We mark and cut out four blanks and corrugated cardboard, their sizes and shape can be seen in the photo below. You can also glue with super glue, but it is better to use regular terma glue:

Now we take the term glue and glue these blanks as follows:

We cut out three more rectangular parts from the same corrugated cardboard, it is best to mark them out from two lines, thanks to such markings, it will be more convenient for the future to look where to stick the parts. And we also glue them to the previous workpiece, as follows:

Then we cut out something that looks like a square with a window just above the center, it also needs to be glued as shown in the photo:

Testing:
We throw chewing gum or a ball into the window and if it rolls down, then everything is done correctly and you can continue.

Now we need three pieces of barbecue skewers — one piece longer than the other two. It is also necessary to cut out three parts from cardboard, one of which in shape may resemble an old key, but without the bottom, and the second and third are simply small rectangles of equal size. All sizes are in the photo below.

We insert the largest segment of the skewer into one of the parts as shown in the photo, and then glue it with super glue. It is important that equal parts of the barbecue skewer come out on both sides of the part.
In the remaining parts, insert pieces of skewers along the edges:

We install blanks from small parts on our previous construction as shown in the photo:

And on that blank that looks like a key, we put one small elastic band on each edge and fix it with super glue.

We install this workpiece on the general design, and the gum must be put on the protruding parts of the skewers, after which they are glued with super glue:

Testing again:
We put chewing gum or a ball (what we will use) in the recess on the workpiece with rubber bands, press the protruding lever and if the ball or chewing gum drops down and rolls on, then everything is done correctly. Also, this button should return back to its original position.

We cut out a new Cardboard part with a window and cover the structure with it as shown in the photo, the window should coincide with the hole on the button in both size and location, then glue this blank:

Now you need to finish the case of the whole mechanism, there’s nothing complicated here, just do everything as shown in the photo:

Well, we are testing again. By the way, it’s best to cover the inside of this mechanism with some kind of clean and cling film to prevent gum from getting dirty on cardboard and possibly super glue, so it’s better not to risk it, but to do everything clean and tidy:

From thin transparent plastic or orc glass, cut out and make an elongated square cone, then glue
it is on top of the whole structure, as shown in the photo below:

From the corrugated cardboard we cut out another square, in the center, which we draw with a normal pencil a small square, but so far we have not cut it out. Then we insert a long piece of barbecue skewers as shown in the photo, through the side of this square. After that, we cut a square with a clerical knife that we drew earlier, but so that the barbecue skewer still holds it, that is, after cutting, the square does not fall out of the main square, but simply can move from the movements of the skewer up and down. We bite off the extra part of the skewer with the help of nippers:

Now we need to cut five more details from our favorite corrugated cardboard, their dimensions are shown in the photo below, it is worth noting that the central part just cut off the top layer of cardboard exactly in the center:

We glue them as shown in the photo, then on a stick of ice cream we burn them with a burner or just write an inscription with a marker or a helium pen, and then glue this blank on the lid of the general design:

And of course, we decorate and decorate this homemade product:

That's it! The homemade product is almost ready and it remains only to test it. To do this, pour chewing gum through the hole in the lids, or something else, close it and press the button, which is made in the form of a heel of piglet, after which what you put in the container of this homemade product will roll out to you.
I think many will like this homemade product, because it can be used as a dispenser of the same chewing gum. Probably most of all this homemade product will appeal to children.

Here is a video from the author with a detailed assembly and testing of this homemade product:

Well, thank you all for your attention and good luck in future projects!
