A small article on how to make a stash out of an unnecessary spray can. The master took the can from under the WD box because of its prevalence. Such a spray can be found in almost every workshop or the garage and hardly anyone will guess that there is a cache. To make the cache, the master used the following
Tools and materials:
- Spray can WD-40;
- PVC coupling, threaded, 50 mm;
- PVC pipe 40 mm;
-Cap 40 mm;
Coupling 40 mm;
-Epoxy adhesive;
-Dremel;
-Band-grinding machine;
Step one: spray can preparation
Before working on the spray can, relieve pressure.
After the master is convinced that the can is empty, he cuts off the bottom of it. The bottom needs to be cut as evenly as possible.
On a belt-grinding machine, the master trims the lower part of the spray can in one plane. Then polishes the edge with sandpaper.
With the last operation, the master processes the cut off bottom of the can. On its inner side you need to grind off the edge.
Step Two: Threaded Coupling
A part on which there is no thread cuts off the threaded sleeve. Further cuts the transverse ebbs.
Step Three: Clutch Adhesion
Twists the two halves of the coupling together. Then unscrews the inner part by two turns. Apply epoxy on the inner wall of the spray can. Inserts a sleeve inside the spray can. Sets the spray can on a flat surface and presses it from above. The clutch should be pressed inward, and the twisting part should become flush with the canister trim.
The screwed-in part of the coupling glues to the bottom of the can.
Step Four: Container
In principle, the cache is ready, but the Master decided to make another container inside.
Cut the 40 mm sleeve in half. Glues it to the bottom of the can (inside the threaded connection). It glues a PVC pipe into the coupling. The upper part of the pipe is closed with a cap.
The cache is ready. Now you can put diamonds inside and put on a shelf. No thief would ever think of stealing a WD balloon.
