Magnetic brush for the assembly of metal chips

Hello. If you often deal with the processing and cutting of metal and after work a lot of metal chips and sawdust remain. Then you will definitely like it homemade the author of the YouTube channel "China Master", you can watch the video at the bottom of the article, if something is not clear. He built a magnetic brush that copes with this task with a bang, without leaving a hint that metal work was carried out. Today I will tell and show you the whole process of making this homemade product.

For the manufacture of this fake is used:

1. U-shaped profile 12mmkh10mm
2. 22mm aluminum pipe
3. Plug for pipe
4. Neodymium magnets 10pcs
5. Daylight bulb (e27)
6. Heat Shrink Tubing

And all sorts of tools grinder, grinding disc or sandpaper, burner (for heating shrink tubing)

Step 1. Making a pen

A piece of 35 cm is cut from the pipe using a grinder or, at worst, a hacksaw for metal. One half of the pipe is polished and a plug is put on it. Only the plastic part is removed from the fake lamp (this part will serve as a barrier to the polished part from the unpolished one). The heat shrink tube is pulled together on the unpolished part, together with the plastic nozzle from the lamp.

Step 2. Production of the magnetic rod

Now the profile is cut into two parts, 40 cm and 30 cm long. Now in the 40 cm profile, neodymium magnets are placed with the poles facing out. The part of the profile that is left without magnets is closed by another part of the profile. Then the entire workpiece is tightened with a heat shrink tube.

The author advises not to overheat the magnets, otherwise they will lose their magnetic properties.

Step 3. Test

As a result, in the video or in the photographs, it is seen how profiles with magnets are placed inside the tube forming an already finished tool. Now it’s enough to bring it to fine metal dust or chips, and you can see how it immediately sticks to the homemade product. Then, having slightly extended the profile with magnets, you can see how the dust shakes off the tube perfectly. That's all. Thanks for watching, do not forget to like.

Well, I don’t know, maybe judging by the video, on small, even surfaces and efficiently, but, it seems, on a real workbench, with a vise, a grinder, a drill and other objects, a brush brush is faster and more efficient.
