Bay in the garage or the workshop concrete screed most leave it that way. The problem is that the concrete begins to crumble and a lot of dust is formed.
You can cover the screed with liquid glass,
but still, this coating is not very durable and easily scratched.
The master went a non-standard way and made a cover do it yourself.
Takes a container
pours acetone into a container.
Dissolves foam in acetone.
A bottle of xylene is poured into the resulting mushy mass and mixed.
Then it adds blue and a little black tint.
Prepares the coating. You can either vacuum it or blow it out with a compressor.
Covers with a brush.
The coating freezes very quickly for 20-30 minutes and no longer sticks. After solidification, the master applies another layer, but already without color.
Finally, the coating dries in three hours.
After drying, the master checks the coating for strength. The coating turned out to be durable (second and third photo) and, unlike the test coating with liquid glass (first photo), it is not scratched.
Now a little on my own. I covered the screed in the workshop with the same solution. True, the master says that he had enough for 15 squares of the floor, two bottles of xylene and acetone (one layer), I spent about twice that on such a quadrature. Perhaps a very thick solution. The second time did not cover. Instead of color, I added the usual enamel paint, gram 30. The foam was completely dissolved until it stops dissolving. Well, it feels dry very quickly, really durable, it feels soft to the touch. I like it.
