For his birthday, last year, he decided to make an aircraft model as a gift.
I want to show you how it was built.
At first I thought which model to build? I remembered my very interesting model called "Vector",
built based on the development of the design bureau of Mikoyan and Gurevich "MiG - 1.44".
And also based on the model from this video.
I contacted the author of the video, got tips.
So I decided to make such a model, taking into account all the improvements and changes of the previous design.
He made a small sketch - a drawing, chose a scale and put down the dimensions.
Then I marked the parts on the substrate and began to cut.
The material for the construction was a simple substrate for a laminate, with a size of 1000 mm X 500 mm. X 5 mm. blue color.
At first, I cut out blanks for the fuselage, keels, PGO and the entire wing.
As cutting, immediately try on in place and glue.
So it turns out faster and more accurately. It is always possible to correct or change something.
A bit about the model.
Length - 1300 mm.
Span - 1000 mm.
Flight weight (estimated) - 1430 g.
Motor - Turnigy L3010C-1300kv (420w) Thrust 1650
Screw - 10 X 4.5.
When creating this model, there should be no difficulties even for inexperienced aircraft models.
For strength, I glued a strip from a wooden ruler, 5 mm wide, into the moving part of the PGO, along the entire length.
When installing PGO, I decided to use the technology of control of the radioactive substances on aerobatic models and trainers. I made cutouts in the fuselage to rotate the PGO.
To access the servo machine controlling the PGO, I made a small hatch.
To increase the stiffness of the wing, across the entire width, I glued a strip of pine laths with a cross section of 5 X 30 mm.

Everything is glued together. There are a few design touches left.
