Blitz (German: blitz - lightning):
After watching this video, the guys from my model group decided to build such a model.
According to the patterns proposed by the author of the model, building it is very simple and it takes very little time to build.
The most important thing is to precisely enlarge the pattern to the desired size and cut it out. It remains only to glue the parts and tighten with tape.
Here's how they did it.
To build the model used, as usual, a simple substrate under the laminate 5 mm thick. , insulation "Penoplex", colored tape, universal adhesive "KIN"
Model Dimensions:
Length - 990 mm.
Span - 950 mm.
Weight - about 90 g.
The spar was made of wooden slats measuring 6 x 4 - 50 mm.
When gluing, we used technological stickers from paper, masking tape. When covering with tape, wrinkles sometimes appear, which are cleaned with a hairdryer.
Motor - AX 2308N 1100kv
The regulator is 40A.
Propeller: 8x3.8
Servos - НХТ900 -2 pcs.
Battery - 3S 1300
Set keels. They were made of Penoplex insulation by cutting it into thin plates 15 mm thick. Foam cut

The motor on top was covered with a casing.
Access to electronics carried out through hatches on the underside.
To keep the battery firmly in place, they press it with a piece of substrate under the laminate.
It remains to cover the model with colored tape.
They made a small model from the heater, in order to find out its flight capabilities.
The result was a very beautiful model.

The weather was bad, it was drizzling, but I really wanted to see the model in flight.
If the lightning flashed, then there must be thunder.
Therefore, the modification of this model was called "Thunder".
Models with a wide, bearing case are stable in flight, inside the case it is very convenient to place electronics, move the battery, to comply with the DH.
The guys brought a lot to the new model, taking the Blitz model as a basis.

The materials used were the same as in the construction of the Blitz model.
We started with the installation of fuselage parts.
We glued a wooden rail 12 x 6 x 900 mm.
A thinner substrate of 3 mm was used on the upper wing skin.
The second layer of the supporting element was made of a 6 mm substrate.
Having slightly changed the geometry of the elevons, we mounted them in their place.
Hatches for replacing the battery and installing electronics are made on the top side of the model.
As the model was ready, they covered it with colored tape.
For the sake of strength, they covered it with transparent adhesive tape.
They made a cockpit, planted pilots.
Installation of the model is completed.
