Wandering around the Internet, I often go to various aircraft modeling sites and I want to note that the aircraft models of Sergei Alexandrov from Nizhny Novgorod, are always successful. Particularly popular was his project S-59 “Killer Whale” (S-59 “Killer whale”) - a pusher with an all-round OBT.

I myself turned to this project more than once and built aircraft models that were different in their characteristics, but very close in design.

However. there is nothing to be surprised. Who will refuse to build an aircraft model that shows amazing flight qualities, which does not require a huge investment of material resources, is built from available materials and, to some extent, building a model is possible even for beginner aircraft models who do not have much experience in building models. I want to note one more important advantage of the model - its maintainability, even after the received “carrot” it is completely restored, the author of the project proved one hundred by his own example.

Of course, it is very sad that the author of the project does not give a detailed description of the process of building the model, and each aircraft modeller builds his model Based on not a few drawings and photographs.

However, the difficulties of the real aircraft modeller were never scared.

The author of this article, based on which I want to tell you about the construction of this model, showed his vision of “Killer Whales”.

According to the project, the supporting wing should be glued from two layers of ceiling tiles (ceilings). Here, the author makes a change in the design of the model and gives the wing a specific profile. It’s difficult for me to judge the feasibility of the profile wing in this model, since the size of the model is not so large Yes, and the strength of the two layers of the ceiling is quite enough.





Certain difficulties may arise in the manufacture of the fuselage.






Although, if you correctly mark, draw and cut blanks, there should be nothing complicated. The main thing is accuracy. The design of this model is interesting in that it provides an all-round controlled thrust vector. The principle of its operation is shown in the figures.




In its manufacture, you can make minor changes, the main thing is not to distort the principle of operation of this unit.
Small difficulties may arise during the installation of elevons, which are interconnected, by a movable joint, which is made of a tube and a wire inserted into it.

Perhaps someone will have an idea to make this knot differently, it is important that the elevons would remain aligned and not tear out during flight.

The fuselage is made. You can tighten the ceiling and make an electronics compartment from the bottom of the wing.
Servos are installed, traction is connected.
